Heaven
In Paradis, Heaven is not a cloud covered paradise with angels in pure white robes playing harps with halos above their heads. In Heaven, clouds are similar to soil, in which grass, trees and other forms of vegetation sprout out from. This does not differ in any of the 9 layers of Heaven.
Heaven's layers, eight for residential areas and infrastructure and one for angel and God business, are a rich combination of culture, style and flair. All of the souls in Heaven are souls of generally good people, who might have sinned, but led a good life in general. They pick a layer in which they wish to live, and are able to find housing there. Stores operate on all levels of Heaven with the exception of the ninth layer, dealing in goods from all races, cultures, creeds and time periods. Everyone acts as they did on Earth, no more and no less. In fact, one could say that Heaven is simply a version of Earth where all the good, kind people you've ever encountered reside.
The ninth layer of Heaven is where all of the work is done. The large, sprawling, Greco-Roman capitol building, called Grace, is ten stories tall, and the work of a master architect. Here all aspects of the universe are monitored, souls are assigned to Heaven or Hell, lives are created, and lives are ended.
Entering Heaven
Heaven has an extremely relaxed policy for allowing souls in. All one must do is to have lived a generally good life that included frequently helping people out and being a nice, caring individual. No person is perfect, of course, but this general guideline list allows a lot more people into Heaven than you'd expect.
