Projects

The following are various projects, comics and scholarly research type things that I am involved in.

Paradis is an ongoing writing and comic book project that I began in 2004. It focuses on angelic and demonic mythology as well as creative writing and exploring what one can do with a comic book genre and relating it with religion. Theological influences include apocrayphal texts and the theological works of the early church father Origen. The comic proper is located here with a website for background information, character biographies and so forth availalbe here.
Sariel's Journal is an offshoot of the Paradis project, designed as a means of forcing me to practice writing prose format centred around one specific character.
Paperbag Alchemy was a short film collection done with friends from my home town combining paper bag puppetry, improv and the characters of the anime 'Fullmetal Alchemist.' No longer updating.
The Lilith Project is my current thesis and perhaps eventual disertation. I am focusing on the history and evolution of the character of Lilith with a special emphasis of her use as a literary figure and what she represents to the modern era versus what she represented when her mythology was created.
